Dr. Tracy Cally Bio

Dr. Tracy Calley is a visiting professor of Counseling at Texas State University. She earned her Masters in Counseling and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education at Texas A&M- Corpus Christi. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Educators and Supervisors and the Association of Humanistic Counseling. She has served on various state and local committees and is currently serving as a Co-Chair for the Awards Committee within the Association of Humanistic Counseling. Dr. Calley became interested in social justice and social change while completing her doctoral degree. Her doctoral cohort founded the Counselor Education Cohort 6 Social Justice Alliance of the Coastal Bend and held an Open Forum on Children’s Rights. She has also assisted in advocating and fundraising efforts to build schools in Tanzania. Dr. Calley and her husband, Chris, are dedicated to assisting with humanitarian efforts. It is their life goal to eventually participate in humanitarian work full-time. SALTworld’s mission and dedication to social advocacy and change aligns with her life mission to help and serve others in need. She is honored to be a part of such an amazing organization and is looking forward to being more involved with social justice, service learning, international humanitarian work and education.
